SUITABILITY: Aside from fulfilling the basic age requirement for the Hotel, Megumi's canon is dealing with a lot of mature themes that make him more than suitable for the game. Perhaps the Hotel will be an actual break from the literal pandemonium that occurred at the end of season 2 (anime), with many of the people he knows being completely incapacitated for the rest of their lives or dead. He has dealt with all sorts of body horror, seen people transformed from humans into curses, fought his own, briefly ressurected, father (unknowingly), got stabbed and smacked against a wall so many times one loses count, had his guardian locked in a prison domain, and almost died because he ritual summoned Mahoraga (he survived ONLY because Sukuna intervened).

The hotel is going to have him deal with relationships and intimacy, which will be, admittedly, scarier to him than having to fight to the death again. He's always been a very reserved and not overly social person, so aside from getting a "brief holiday" to arrange his thoughts, it will be a good way to have him interact with other people.

HISTORY: Megumi is a Jujutsu Sorcerer, attending Jujutsu High alongside Kugisaki Nobara and Itadori Yuji. When he was a kid, his father, Toji Fushiguro, had planned to sell him off to the Zen'in clan, but Gojo Satoru interfered and became Megumi's guardian, preventing the transfer from happening. He attended Saitama Urami East Junior High School with his sister. At some point, his sister fell into a coma, and he then officially started attending Jujutsu High.

He met Yuji Itadori when he was sent to retrieve one of the cursed objects (Sukuna's finger) from Yuji's school. During this event, Yuji Itadori swallowed the said finger. Gojo comes to save both of them, and Megumi asks that his teacher intervene and not execute Yuji. He's been sent on many missions after- to the prison where a Finger Bearer swallowed Sukuna's finger and formed an incomplete domain, killing all the prisoners; he was part of the Goodwill Event where students from Kyoto were tasked to execute Yuji, where he once again interfered; he was sent to a mission involving his Junior High School and Yasohachi bridge, where he ended up fighting another Finger Bearer and killed it with his newly awoken Domain.

After that, he was a part of the infamous Shibuya Incident. Megumi was on the team with Nanami Kento, and Takuma Ino. After learning that Gojo was sealed from Yuji, they head together with Takuma to attempt to save him. They deal with people who were summoning a veil over Shibuya and preventing them from entering. Takuma is injured, and Megumi decides to take him to safety, and Yuji and he split. He later intervenes with the Domain that Dagon summoned. A seanced Toji intervenes and kills Dagon, breaking the Domain. Toji then attacks Megumi, and after battling for a while, his father recognizes him and kills the body he was summoned in. That's where Shigemo finds him weakened and attempts to kill him, but Megumi summons Divine General Mahoraga. He was on the brink of death from the ritual summoning, but Sukuna stopped it by healing him and defeating the general, making the ritual void.

ABILITIES: Aside from being proficient in hand-to-hand combat and an incredible battle strategist, Megumi has inherited the Ten Shadows' Technique from the Zen'in clan.

The Cursed Technique- Ten Shadows Technique- a technique passed down in the Zen'in Family that he inherited, which allows him to summon up to ten potential shikigami, using shadows. If a shikigami is destroyed, its abilities are likely to be inherited by other shikigami. It also grants overall manipulation of shadows (for example: he can store weapons in his shadows, change locations by merging with shadows and reappearing elsewhere from the shadow, etc.)

The list of Shikigami:

1. Divine Dogs- Twin canine shikigami, white and black. White was destroyed in battle with Finger Bearer, but his abilities were inherited by its twin, making him into a Divine Dog: Totality.
2. Nue- winged shikigami with electro-shock wings, mainly used for scouting or support.
3. Great Serpent- huge snake shikigami, used to ensnare targets.
4. Toad- a large toad (as the name says) with a powerful tongue, used mostly to pull allies to safety or carry them out of dangerous situations
5. Piercing Ox - ox shikigami that can charge with immense strength. It can only move in a straight line, but the longer its charge, the more powerful it is.
6. Max Elephant- summons an elephant that can unleash massive torrents of water.
7. Rabbit Escape - a swarm of rabbit shikigami that serves as a distraction for the user.
8. Round Deer - a deer shikigami that can heal through the reverse cursed technique. Its positive energy is powerful enough to cause another sorcerer to lose control of physical objects strengthened by cursed energy.
9. Tiger Funeral - is a shikigami with unknown capabilities.
10. Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga - the most powerful shikigami available to be summoned that no one in the Zenin Family has ever been able to force to submit. It has the ability to adapt to any phenomenon.

For the sake of the game, he will be able to summon only: The Divine Dog: Totality, Nue, Toad(s), Rabbit(s), and, situationally Deer (for the healing technique). Tiger has unknown abilities, Mahoraga is too destructive (almost no one can subdue that thing), and the Serpent was destroyed by Sukuna. I'll let you decide if he can summon Piercing Ox and Max Elephant, as they can cause significant damage to the surroundings (Megumi would summon them if he were actually fighting for his life against someone/something).

VICES:
Self-destructive; It’s an odd trait for someone who has trained so hard as a sorcerer to protect his sister Tsumiki, yet he repeatedly treats his own life as expendable. It is a repeated occurrence — his multiple attempts to summon Mahoraga whenever he believes he can’t win — revealing that he places little intrinsic value on himself. And in the end, he actually summons Mahoraga against the cursed user Shigemo, ready for his life to be forfeit once the ritual ends. He consistently prioritizes the lives of those close to him above his own, and that devotion is an easy lever for manipulation. He admits openly that his protectiveness is selective - "I’m going to help people unequally"- direct quote- he saves and defends only those he thinks are worth it, which also exposes the people most likely to be targeted to hurt him (Tsumiki, Itadori, Gojo, Kugisaki, Nanami, etc.). In terms of living at the Hotel, he could easily be used as a point of coercion to get him to do things he usually wouldn't.

Harsh, Cold; Stemming from his personal view of who does and doesn’t deserve help, Megumi often comes across as unapologetically harsh and almost cruel. Unlike Itadori, whose ideal is to save as many people as possible, Megumi has openly admitted that he despises not only malicious people and their undeserved pride, but also “good” people who allow cruelty to persist through endless forgiveness. This perspective has shaped a rigid moral compass that he rarely strays from. While yes, he had asked his mentor and guardian, Gojo Satoru, to save Itadori from being executed (because Itadori ate one of Sukuna's fingers), saying that he "doesn't want to see a good person die", he also got into an argument with Itadori over a prisoner and whether their body should be recovered and returned to the family. The convict was already dead, and Megumi still didn't think they deserved to be retrieved (saved) from the prison, like Itadori insisted.
This could be a good setup for all sorts of punishments- not only literal ones, but his relationships can and will suffer because of it.

VIRTUES:
Loyal, Devoted; One of Megumi’s defining virtues is his loyalty, though it often manifests in subtle, understated ways. Unlike Yuji, who openly voices his feelings, Megumi tends to keep his emotions guarded, allowing his actions to speak louder than words. Time and again, he puts himself at risk for his friends, Itadori and Nobara, facing opponents far beyond his capabilities — not out of obligation, but because he genuinely cares for them. This deep sense of devotion often ties directly into his self-destructive tendencies, as he is willing to sacrifice himself without hesitation if it means protecting those he cares about.
His loyalty extends beyond his immediate circle as well. He remains unwaveringly devoted to his step-sister, Tsumiki, whose well-being is the driving force behind many of his choices. His determination to do anything and everything to wake her from her coma is a testament to the depth of his commitment. Even with Gojo, whose eccentric behavior he occasionally criticizes, Megumi’s loyalty is rock-solid: he has never questioned Gojo’s guidance (only his antics!) and trusts him implicitly.

Calm, Intelligent;Megumi does not rely on brute force or emotional impulses, but instead approaches combat and decision-making with a cool, rational mindset. Where Yuji often throws himself headfirst into danger, Megumi takes a step back, assesses the situation, and calculates the most efficient strategy. This pragmatic outlook allows him to survive against opponents who may be stronger or more overwhelming on the surface or in situations where he's visibly cornered.
This is often reflected in the way he's using his shikigami: rather than summoning creatures recklessly, Megumi adapts them to specific circumstances, often combining them in creative ways. In the battle against his father, Toji, who is way exponentially stronger, faster, and more experienced than him, Megumi manages to keep his calm and think fast on his feet, and is rewarded by being able to keep up.
It takes a lot to take Megumi off guard, as his ability to think several steps ahead makes him unpredictable. The Hotel will have a problem ambushing him or attempting to destabilize him by trying to rile him up.

SUIT REQUESTS:
Hearts: Megumi is known to be secretive about his feelings and thoughts regarding others. Even when he thinks of people as his friends and close companions (Itadori, Kugisaki, Gojo), he will extremely rarely express himself about it. And he's been teased by them on multiple occasions by being called "mysterious". He's not mysterious; he shouldn't be, and the Hearts will help him with it! He's more than moody for this suit, and he definitely needs to express his affection towards others in a "healthy" way. Because he sure as hell won't speak up by himself! It will make him go out and actively look for companionship of any sort, instead of his regular "Why did you move Itadori next to me!?" reaction to having someone merely living nearby. Also, "quiet pining" might well be his middle name.

Diamonds:This is the second, very obvious way, of having Megumi go out there and "connect" with people. This will be more on a physical side than emotional, compared to hearts, but it would have him seek the companionship of others nonetheless. While the suit itself doesn't align with Megumi's traits, it's quite the opposite, actually- he's never openly shown interest in any sort of intimate relationship (dating or otherwise), it will keep him on his toes and have him actively seek engagement with others. It would be a great way to put him in situations with lustful flare-ups that he can't control.
Both of these suits are surefire ways from keeping him holed up in his room for days on end, because it's something he'd totally do in this sort of place.

physical contact. Megumi's not the best with physical contact, he doesn't seek it, and doesn't give it. After building CR, there is a possibility

physical affection. Similar to physical contact, he's not very expressive when it comes to emotions. Building CR: he'll express it more through actions rather than words.

mind reading. Hit me up to discuss it. Megumi's mind has a lot of stuff going on.

fights, injuries and death. Yes on fights, of course, on injuries and death should be discussed first- I'm not averse to it if it fits the plot, but I need a heads up and details on how things are gonna go.

romance and shipping. He's the slowest of burners, so that chemistry needs to really go off. I personally don't care about age differences, but I won't start anything first without checking your permissions, or if I am given permission upfront. Canon ships I am into: Yuuji, Kugisaki, Gojo (don't look at me, I'm a filthy sinner, leave me be to stew in angst, I can't help it (but, again, I will never start anything first unless approved by permissions)), basically most characters (shipping fiend(except for Mahito, oops)). Crosscanon needs a good workout, but it's not impossible. Megumi is reserved, not without feelings.

smut. Refer to the shipping section. I don't mind fade to blacks/assuming it happened (especially if the relationship is established)

Personality answers:
1. Who in your character's canon influenced the most growth in your character? What do they think about this character?

It is exceptionally hard to pick out a single person and say they helped him grow, but two stand out and had an influence on different parts of his life that brought him to where he is.

Gojo Satoru was his caretaker and mentor after his stepmother died and his father disappeared. While Megumi often finds Gojo’s carefree, irreverent attitude exasperating — sometimes even irresponsible — he nonetheless trusts him completely. Beneath the teasing and playful exterior, Gojo has always been there to offer guidance in Megumi’s lowest moments, giving him the perspective he needs when doubt clouds his progress. In his battle against Finger Bearer, he even manages to summon his own Domain for the first time, thanks to a brief recall of the conversation he had with Gojo, who is encouraging him to think more freely and openly about his potential.

The second person is Itadori Yuji. Being the complete opposites they are, Itadori had forced him to look at things from a different angle. Itadori is the altruistic hero type of person, who acts from compassion and wants to save everyone, while Megumi has a more calculated judgment. Yuji’s selflessness forces Megumi to acknowledge that maybe he’s too rigid, and he has slowly chipped away at Megumi's emotional walls, leading him to be more open and eventually earning Megumi's complete trust.

2. Explain which event in canon is most pivotal to your character's development, and who they are today.

Both the disappearance of his father and the cursed coma of his stepsister, Tsumiki, shaped Megumi’s life in profound ways. Yet it was Tsumiki’s fate that truly defined the course of his future. His father’s absence left him distrustful and withdrawn — but it was Tsumiki’s suffering that became the core wound around which his entire future developed.

Tsumiki was, in many ways, Megumi’s opposite. She was gentle, forgiving, and endlessly kind, even toward people who had wronged her. Megumi, who despised cruelty but also resented those who allowed it to continue through blind forgiveness, often found himself conflicted about her outlook. He loved her deeply, yet at times, he almost hated the way she refused to draw lines against those who didn’t deserve her kindness. Still, beneath that inner conflict, Megumi always regarded her as a force of goodness — someone pure and worth protecting.

When Tsumiki fell into a cursed coma, Megumi’s world collapsed. The guilt of being powerless to save her, combined with his determination to protect her, pushed him to accept Gojo’s offer and attend Jujutsu High. Becoming a sorcerer was, for Megumi, everything — an attempt to find the strength and way to one day save her.

3. What is your character most afraid of?

Megumi Fushiguro’s greatest fear is failure — specifically, the failure to protect the people closest to him, and above all, failing to save his sister Tsumiki. Unlike other sorcerers who fight for duty, pride, or ideals, Megumi’s entire existence as a jujutsu sorcerer is oriented around this single purpose. Every curse he exorcises, every technique he refines, every step he takes toward becoming stronger is, in his mind, one step closer to fulfilling the responsibility he carries for her.

At the heart of this fear lies guilt. Though Tsumiki’s cursed coma was never his fault, Megumi has internalized it as a personal failure — a consequence of his own inadequacy. This self-imposed responsibility drives him to push himself beyond reason and to shoulder burdens alone. And yet, it is also what slowly opens him to others: realizing he cannot carry the weight entirely by himself, Megumi begins to trust Yuji and Nobara, eventually confiding in them about Tsumiki. His willingness to ask Yuji for help during the Culling Games reflects a rare but significant step toward vulnerability, revealing both his desperation and his growth.

Unfortunately, his deepest fear becomes reality. Despite all his efforts, Megumi fails to save Tsumiki, and the result is devastating: crushed under despair, Megumi becomes unable to resist Sukuna’s possession.

4. What is justice to your character? How important is it to them?

Megumi's idea of justice is different from other people because he doesn't see himself as a hero. For example, while Yuji Itadori strives to save everyone indiscriminately — believing that all lives deserve a chance — Megumi’s approach is far more selective. To him, not everyone is worth saving, and choosing who to protect is a deeply personal decision.

Megumi’s justice has always been individual and subjective, formed in reaction to the people around him rather than abstract ideals. He despises those who allow evil to persist in the name of forgiveness, seeing mercy for the cruel as a betrayal of the innocent. At the same time, he values kindness and purity when it comes from a place of genuine compassion. This tension is most clearly reflected in his relationship with his sister, Tsumiki. Megumi adores her, but he often clashes with her outlook: Tsumiki scolds him when he lashes out against people he deems “bad,” urging him to be more forgiving. To Megumi, however, such forgiveness feels like weakness — enabling cruelty to continue.

As a sorcerer, Megumi’s sense of justice makes him both principled and rebellious. He is unyielding in his own interpretation of right and wrong, refusing to blindly obey the rules and traditions imposed on him.

Player Goals: I want to see how Megumi will handle situations that don't necessarily have any sort of merit or push him forward towards his main goal (saving his sister- he still believes he can, as I'm playing him from the end of season 1).
With all of his powers nerfed and his go-to trump card Mahoraga gone (completely expecting he won't be able to summon that thing), there will be a certain dose of anxiety and fear that he won't be as helpful as he wants to be- he'll have to basically rely on everything and everyONE else except his trump card.
And, to be completely honest, I love the idea of playing him as a spectral, too, if that counts. I will be looking to get him a second soul to make him into some kind of undead spectral hound, BUT! Man, banshee fits him so well (according to myth, banshees herald death and souls of the close ones, and with the pending deaths of certain people he knows, it's just so fitting).
